![]() ![]() A friend just called me about the grips and the fashion in which they appear to be cut. I think that they are the BEST 1911 grips out there for duty/hard use. They have been around for a while and they do look really nice with the front strap texture that you have pictured. This pic clearly shows the difference in the two designs. Since I threw out all the return paperwork and forms i guess they are mine now. They're great grips, but not EXACTLY what I wanted. Just a warning if you are ordering, make sure you are getting the ones you want,Īnd know the difference between the two. Indents and no sharp or aggressive points. Let me know what color you'd like and if I have it I'll put it in the package for you. The lanyard pic'd in the last picture is not on it at this time but I can certainly include a length of paracord for you to use. ![]() Between the length width & steel used it is one solidly built beast. It feels really nice and fast in the hand. It is a great knife and if you are into Strider's knives and or Bowies then this is a perfect knife for you. This knife was made maybe a year or so ago and I haven't done anything with it but take it out of the sheath several times for pics. Also, the tie down on this sheath has a push or squeeze type device on it so you do not have to tie it down but just cinh it as tight as you like then push the botton to release it and remove. The paracord with this sheath is more than long enough to take off and use in a pinch for whatever emergency comes your way (within reason of course). The pocket on it is more than ample to fit a Leatherman type tool with room enough for other items such as a small Fixed Blade and or microlight with spare batteries, magnesium bar with flint/steel etc. I have included a pic of the backside to show all the various attachment points Eagle Ind's has provided the user with. In any case it is a nice color that'd go well with anyone seeking something akin to a Tan color scheme. Look through the pics I posted and you can see that it looks tan til it is shown against a Beige carpet. It was described as Tan but it is somewhere between Tan and OD. The sheath is a very well made Eagle Industries sheath. This particular knife is Serial Number 16 of 25 total made (or so I was told when purchasing it). The Eagle Ind's sheath has the Strider Knives logo and wording stitched into it on its front face, between the throat and the accessory pocket flap. This Strider features their well known Tiger Striped finish. The handle is the same as the Spaniard! It weighs 16 1/8 ounces but being so long it does not feel it! Notes: This is Strider's largest knife to date and first pure "Bowie"! Very light for it's size with the longer narrower blade! Long flat ground with little filed grooves on the back spine and a blood groove on the top. Over all Length: 16 1/8" Tip to the end of the handle Specs from the original ad/listing are as follows: ![]()
